Future

The future of EQuilibrium...

Lockdown has been such a challenging time for everyone and meant so much of our 'normal' life has had to change and adapt. For me this has meant for long periods I have sadly had to stop seeing clients for massage treatments and instead offer advice and help via video and phone calls.

One thing it has allowed me to do is to slow down a little and start to focus a little more time on other aspects of my business that have been able to remain open.

Sports Massage...

Sport and deep tissue massage will always be the primary focus at the centre of everything I do. Massage benefits so many people and for so many different reasons, it's not just about fixing an injury so you can get back out running, it is so much more than that.

I can help with mobility, stability, muscle imbalances, sports injuries and medical conditions such as sciatica, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, runners knee and more.

I work with clients of all ages and use various treatments like trigger point therapy, myofascial release, infrared therapy, sports cupping, sports taping and massage gun therapy.

Run Technique Sessions

I'm a bit obsessed with human movement, I spend way too much time reading about it and thinking about it. But, that's a good thing! Over lockdown I've still been able to work 1to1 with runners and this area of my business is continually growing.

Joining a running club isn't for everyone and I work with a number of people that prefer an individual approach with sessions specifically targeted for their needs or an event they are training for. I also offer full runner gait analysis and form sessions, these look at everything that has an impact on your movement, your injury history, mobility, balance and gait and use video and photo evidence to help work on improving and adapting your technique.

These sessions are for everyone, new runners to experienced athletes and are a great starting point to build upon.

Foam Roller Workshops

One of the favourite parts of my work is running monthly foam roller workshops. These were proving incredibly popular before lockdown unfortunately stopped them and they usually sold out within a few days! The workshops are an indepth look at the benefits of rolling and are for anyone that participates in any form of sport or exercise and also really useful for people that suffer from back pain, joint stiffness and muscle tightness. All you need is a foam roller and the ability to get down on the floor to work your muscles. The workshops are kept small and a maximum of 10 people are allowed to enable me to monitor everybody throughout. With lockdown restrictions now easing I am hopeful the once monthly workshops will be making a return in May and I will be contacting those people already on the waitlist.

Also, keep your eyes on my social media for an announcement of a weekly session foam roller stretch and release class. This will be a 30-40 minute session where we work together through a full release and stretch routine and perfect for anyone that struggles to get the foam roller out at home by themselves.
